FlightZone Review

Flight ZoneDo you remember Top Gun? For those who do, do you remember the thrill of watching F14 Tomcats weaving around in the sky, blowing stuff up? Well I do; and this slot reminds me of that movie like no other. Of course, that was probably the designer’s intention. The only thing that comes close is the ancient arcade game “Afterburner” – but that’s an entirely different story (signs of a wasted youth).

This casino game is full on adrenaline. The music score is designed to get your blood pumping and your thoughts racing. The reels even seem to spin faster. Plus they’ve animated EVERY symbol – so every time you hit a winning combination you get to see a cinematic scene, which just keeps you in the pilot’s zone.

This video slot has 5 reels, 25 paylines and up to 20 coins per line. The coin size ranges from 0.01 to 0.2; which means you can bet between 0.01 and 100 per spin; with all feature game rewards (as usual) bumped up to reflect your betting patterns.

There are also 3 features to spice things up, and they make up pretty standard fare:

Flight Zone Slot at Platinum Play

  • Free Spins can be triggered by having the scatter symbol appear on reels 1 and 5. This will trigger 10 free spins, and all wins are doubled. During your free spins you can retrigger them; and even trigger the bonus game – so the spins are really “free”! Just giving you more bang for your buck.
  • The bonus game is good fun. This is a double pickem, requiring you to hammer 3 targets before choosing 1 out of 5 to increase your bonus. What makes this bonus game fun is the graphics and animations that are played out before the game starts. Jets flying low over the ground at ridiculous speed has always made people gasp in wonder; and that is as true today as it was years ago. Really cool feature game.
  • The final option available to you is to gamble your winnings. I never use a gamble option; but it is available to you if you want. If you win, your winnings are doubled – if not then you lose the lot.

The game paid out regularly, and so the bank roll lasts quite a long time. It’s fun, addictive and exciting to play, and I highly recommend it. Play now at Platinum Play. You can also read my Tomb Raider – Secret of the Sword review here.
